I loved reading a profile of Lee Child, part of a wildly successful television company for many years…until a management change made the corporate ‘family’ not the safe haven he had come to expect. Suddenly, he was unemployed, felt betrayed, had loans to pay and choices to make. What caught my attention was this. He took all that anger, fear and frustration and channelled it into pure determination. He got clear about what he didn’t want: a boss. Then he connected with the underlying theme in his life: entertainment. He began to write thrillers, and has since written 13. Here’s the thing. He got clarity that this experience wasn’t just about hurt; it was about opportunity.
Where is the gift of opportunity in your current life experience?
